Herd History

The herd was founded over 50 years ago, and is recognised as home to some of the finest Angus cattle in the country.  Fellfort Angus Farm is located in Watergrasshill, Co. Cork - Ireland.

We have 80 Pedigree Angus Cows.  The bloodlines of many of the stock can be traced back to three Angus cow's Ben's father (Jack) purchased in 1956.

We sell most of our stock from the farmyard to returning satisfied customers, some of which have bought in excess of 20 bulls - This tells its own story of customer satisfaction.

In 2008 we were privileged to be asked by Board Bia to be one of 10 host farms for the "European Meat Forum Ireland 2008", three of which were Angus Farms.  (Photos included in the gallery).

The Irish Angus meat producer group in conjunction with Kepak, use our farm regularly to showcase Angus Cattle production.

We believe this breed is well suited to Irish farming & produces the highest quality beef from a mainly grass-based diet.

Of the 80 cows, 40 calve in spring and 40 in autumn.  Our objective is the continuous improvement on the quality of our herd.  Our cattle have won many awards at various pedigree shows in Ireland.

We have sold a number of pedigree heifers to various herds in Ireland and also exported to a breeder setting up a herd in Portugal.
